Grape Jam Studios

Grape Jam is a high-fidelity recording studio in Cedar Park, Tx.

Designed and built by Adam Donovan & Gabriel Noland, Grape Jam is the perfect synthesis between home & studio. The carefully selected gear and optimized acoustic treatment provides everything you need for professional quality productions while still maintaining a comfortable and homey vibe.

From the geometries of the spaces to the design and placement of acoustic treatment, every decision was made with a purpose. Not only will you be able to get the deep, clear tones you're looking for, but every step of the process is intuitively systematized to make your recording day fun and stress-free.

Grape Jam consists of three main recording rooms: The Live Room, The Iso, and The Control Room.

The Live Room is made up of two ~200sqft rooms, The Drum Room and The Piano Room.  The walls are treated with a combination of absorption, diffusion, and scattering, resulting in a clean and even natural reverb in the room mics and crystal clear precision in the spot mics. With 31 inputs in the drum room, 8 in the piano room, and 8 in the Iso, there are plenty of inputs and headphone returns in every room. To find out more about our gear, click here.

The Iso is a smaller room, treated for a tighter response, though we were careful to keep enough space to prevent the choked and muffled sound of a typical vocal booth. This room is perfect for everything from screaming guitar cabs to soft acoustics, but vocals are what really shine.

The final piece to the puzzle is The Control Room. A room inside a room with a 16 layer wall between it and the live room, The Control Room at Grape Jam was designed with functionality as the top priority. 6 tuned bass traps utilizing innovative acoustic designs, polycylindrical diffusers, and an 8x6 ft custom QRD on the back wall...
